The Qualificed Elder – I Timothy 3

There seems to be two dimensions of qualification for the male to be an overseer in the church…how he conducts himself behind the front door at house, and how he conducts himself in public. Paul lists three benchmarks of qualifications of an overseer by how the male does at house. His marriage, his children, and the management of his household should all be scrutinized to determine his ‘fitness’ for church leadership.
